Emine Dursun has a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and a master’s degree in Finance. She studied Screenwriting at the Digital Film Academy.

SHE IS THE FIRST PERSON WHO HAS AN INTERNATIONAL SCREENPLAY AWARD WITH AN UNPRODUCED SCREENPLAY, IN HER COUNTRY, TURKEY.

Sundance Institute is founded by Robert Redford in 1981, to foster independence, risk-taking, and new voices in American film. The Sundance Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the discovery and development of independent artists and audiences. Through its programs, the Institute seeks to discover, support, and inspire independent film and media artists from the United States and around the world, and to introduce audiences to their new work.

HOWARD A. RODMAN- He is the Vice President of the Writers Guild of America West; professor and former chair of the writing division at the USC School of Cinematic Arts; an artistic director of the Sundance Institute Screenwriting Labs; a member of the executive committee of the Writers Branch of the Academy of motion picture Arts and Sciences – FALLEN ANGELS, THE HUNGER, Rodman wrote a one-hour dramatic pilot for HBO, entitled 213 for producers George Clooney, Grant Heslov, and Steven Soderbergh.

She is one of the jury members of The Writers Lab -US and The Writers Lab – EU.

The Writers Lab is supported by Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman and is produced by New York Women in Film & Television, with co-founders Elizabeth Kaiden and Nitza Wilon. It is presented in collaboration with the Writers Guild America, East, with in-kind support from The Black List, Film Fatales, Tribeca Film Institute, Roadmap Writers, Relativity Ventures, and Stony Brook Southampton + Manhattan.

Also in the jury panel of the London Independent Story Prize- LISP, the Princeton Independent Film Festival(former), New York Movie Awards (former), Five Continents International Film Festival – FICOCC, New York International Screenplay Awards-NYISA, and the Golden Draft Awards.

She is the founder, and the Managing Director of the New York International Screenplay Awards – NYISA – As well as the Golden Draft Awards.

NYISA is in the top 100 screenplay competitions by the Filmfreeway and supported by the US Film Industry companies InkTip, Creators Vault, Script Mailer, Final Draft, Uplift Script, Virtual Pitch Fest – VPF, and the Script Readers Pro, as well as the Cultured Focused Magazine.

Emine is selectively doing Screenwriting, Script Doctoring, Creative Consulting, and Script Analysis for special projects. She teaches Creative Writing, in-person/online, to any level of writers.

She works at her own creative media company MAE Media House, LLC.

She is leading workshops named “ How To Write An Award Winning Screenplay”, “Character Creation”, “Building A Strong Structure”, “Efficient Moving Dialogue Writing”, and “Creative Writing”.

She lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband and dog.
